Season's Greetings – Bird of the day!

I hope you had a very Merry Christmas! I have enjoyed the company of a few very good friends and with family members on Christmas Day.

Today a friend is over and she bought a chicken which is in the oven being cooked for dinner. I added a few herbs of the garden and have some squash in with the roast, plus scalloped potatoes with onions cooking..

Here is my Christmas Card combined with coming New Year celebrations.

Christmas to me, is a time that one cares for friends and family.

In one way, I like that Christmas a time of Good Will, the coming of Christ the Saviour. In another way, the added commercialism, the unrealistic expectations and the pressure to vamp up an unrealistic image …

So here, I look at it this way, we are people, not clones of someone’s ideas. We are ourselves. However, no man should be an island so we need each other.

I enjoyed my Christmas and wish you all the best to come for the coming new year, 2020.

Here is my NZ Woodpigeon or Kereru for “Bird of the Day”. I love it because Birds are bright, they are smart, they can fly and they are not over demanding. They can be very good friends as they sing nicely and cheer up people.

  1. Thanks, I enjoyed a lot Christmas celebration, I spent two days with family members, but actually, in the end, I felt a bit exhausted because the meeting was going in my home so the hosts always have more duties to satisfy everyone. I am glad, your Christmas went great too.
