Autumn has come officially to New Zealand, yet in Auckland where I live. We had hardly a drop of rain!
This summer season we had 40 days with no rain and yet rain is not enough to fill our dams.
Have a look at the thumbnail and you will view Mt Wellington (a dormant volcano) and it is all brown and hardly a blade of grass.
Well, the weather forecasts rain this weekend to Auckland.
We will see what comes.

We have spring, but more like summer. We have high temperatures. The weather has been very unpredictable in recent years.
The forecast can only male predictions, they are usually pretty much correct here.
Auckland can be unpredictable because we have water on 3 sides, in Auckland you can experience rain, sunshine, fog in one day. Snow never, although once in 50 years it could snow in the Waitakere ranges…
The other thing is that in the tropics like Fiji and the Pacific islands they often get cyclones or hurricanes and they go south and the cyclone can quickly change to a different direction
We have enough tornadoes here to worry about weather if I ever go on a vacation.
Yes, that is a worry. Tornadoes happen in New Zealand too. Not as often as in the USA.
Well, worry I suppose is rather useless if there is nothing anyone can do about tornadoes.
I think in the last years, the forecasts are getting more precise.
And here, where I live, the rains are scarce. But as autumn comes, you will feel better.
This is why i have a weather station at home, so I can tell what the weather is, where I am!!!!
Sometimes the forecasts are precise.
We have already welcomed summer
So true, Auckland weather is always unpredictable
We have had rains but nature has its way. It was never what it used to be and that is it lacks consistency.
