It has been my habit to save the loose change that I have in my pocket every day. It is like investing on something. With the help of a modern piggy bank I can save the coins and sometimes I intentionally pay with big bills just to have more coins.
After a year of saving I would crack open the piggy bank to count and to deposit the coins to my bank account. Now I have a big amount from that coins that I stil continue saving no matter what.

I used to have a Hummer piggy bank. My mom let my nephews play with it and they ended up breaking it.
I used to save coins and put then away somewhere and when had enough would take them to the bank for bills. I do not do that anymore.
