Saturday's Critters – Maya , the best teacher of mine!

The most unselfish friend I’ve ever had, but which I sometimes do not deserve is Maya. With her next to me, I feel a joy that sometimes I can not understand. I have learned many things from her in the seven years since we are together. I have learned what patience, unconditional love, loyalty and forgiveness mean. It may seem strange to some  but,  Maya was one of the best teachers I’ve ever had.

I took this picture in Chindia Park. If you look carefully, you will see the whole park reflected in her eyes, eyes that have turned green!

I’m sharing this picture with Saturday Critters Challenge.

  1. It is interesting. When a dog or cat first joins our lives, they are pets. Then at some point sometimes hours after joining, they become friends. Eventually, we realize walking one day, they are family.

  2. Well hello sweet loving Maya. You sure look very pretty almost regal looking when you look around the park. I bet you consider it your domain… yes dogs and cats give you unconditional love as long as you give them water and food and companionship… they double that in return towards you…

  3. Maya, what a beautiful friend, loyal companion, teacher and best friend. You are very deserving of each other. I have said that many times over. I have lost animals for the past, a few dogs that I felt the same way about. Now I have two cats that, in different ways, teach me many things as well.

Maya is so beautiful and look at those reflections in her eyes. Wow!
