Saturday Silhouette – My Window To The World

This is a shot of trees in moonlight. This pictures bring up a ton of memories for me. I was immobilized for almost a year many years ago, My back was giving way and I could hardly move around. My bedroom was where life happened for me.

I was terribly bored as I would be alone all day and I could hardly do anything. I learnt to take distant shots from my camera out of my window. I used to call it my window to the world. I just lay there all day and looked at life pass me by through my window.

This is one of those pictures I took on a full moon day. I wrote several poems about it which are published elsewhere. Today I am so grateful to live a full and beautiful life. I try to enjoy every moment in my own way.

  1. Even in the most difficult period you have found a way to distract yourself and not to think about your illness. The picture will remind you that you are a strong person. She is very successful.

    • lacho59 That was the time I started writing online , my husband got me a camera and made my life a little more interesting. The best thing was I really learned to value the little things in life, before that I enjoyed them but didn’t really value them so much. Thank you for your kind words.

  2. That’s a beautiful picture, dear friend…I believe that such a life is very painful … I hope that you have already recovered and live a normal life

    • Thank you Lado with God’s grace and complete faith I got up and walked, the doctors said I may never walk again. But I live a full and happy life now.

  3. There are good days when life is light and airy. There are bad days when we sometimes drag. The measure of us as people is rising above the bad days!
