Rose Bud ~ Nature Tuesday

This rose bud was from my spring garden last year. Dustin’s rose bush produces the most beautiful pink blooms. I treasure each one that blooms. I also bring them inside and enjoy them as well.

This rose had a little insect visitor I noticed as I shot the photo. Not sure what it was called.

Looking forward to spring to see all the beauty once again. I have added a few things to his garden, so it will be even bigger this year. Hopefully everything will bloom and produce like I have planned.

  2. The rosebud is lovely!

    Yes, I think it’s good to let us know what’d happened to the site, especially if there are new features or updates. I agree that it’d be even better we get to know earlier if it’s a scheduled update or maintenance, so we wouldn’t be worried about the site.

  3. Lovely Rose bud . Yes, I wondered at first if it was just me, but then I see quite a few Virily members were also having the same situation.
    It would be nice to be told what happened but as I don’t know the circumstances don’t really know what running web sites like this involves.

Indeed, it is far better if the admin has a way to reveal what happened to this site so that in the future there is no need to have similar complaints or too much of those who have too much fear. On the other hand, I have also tried to imagine how messy admins do their best effort to overcome this kind of problem, also while imagining how they think about what we think at that time… I think they really stressful like we are too… Maybe there is someone among us can give the best advice to the admin about how to communicate with the user with the minimum opposition.

    Hopefully, there is a good solution for this kind of thing.

    • Yes I agree Albert, and would love to be in communication with “admins” or anyone here, but I get nothing for months now. No response to any emails or messages. Nothing! I am sure they are busy but how long would it take to insert a short message at the top of the home page with just a few words as to what is going on? It would take seconds to do this.

  5. The sudden forced change of plans wasn’t a pleasure, but I moved on.
    I agree anyway, it’s in Virily’s best interest to be clear and keep us informed.
    Bad rumors spread so fast, unfortunately.

    • When there is no communication it is easy to think the worst. Something I have been saying for months, but nobody is listening. 🙁

    • Are they doing updates? Who knows when the entire site goes down for the day. And why not let us know? Every other site I have ever been on has communication of some kind with the members. It is called respect, agree?

  6. Absolutely stunning pink bloom rose. I wish I had a green thumb like you but I do not have the patience and or a back (I do have some back problems) to start, let alone stay around a garden. As for Virily, I was wondering yesterday what was going on. I guess, the whole site was down. The administration of Virily is not up to date with etiquette of writing sites. They really should let us know beforehand so as not to lose anything, they should also let us know what happened and or what they did. Was it an enhancement? a change? what? But they never seem to respond. Oh well, I just hope they are not going under, because I really enjoy writing here and the community of Virylians is simply awesome including you of course, Carol.

    • You make some very good points my friend. EVERYONE should read this. I have been saying this for months and months now, with no response for anyone here at the site. There has been no communication for I don’t know how long now. And every day I just hope the site comes up when I try to log on.

      Yesterday who knows what was done while it was down for the entire day. There could have been upgrades, and we, as members, should be allowed to know what they were. If not an answer to my numerous emails, why not put a flashing message at the top of the page. Like, Updates being done, etc. It could be so simple.

      But, when we hear nothing from anyone, you do think the worst. That is just how it is.
      Thank you for understanding where I am coming from. Frustrated at best here. 🙁

      • …sorry… forgot to thank you for the compliment on the rose. I was so shocked at how low maintenance this rose bush has been. And am happy each time I see a bloom. 🙂

  7. Wow! Love the rose bud!
    I think if they’re planning to do maintenance (I assume) they could easily and responsibly tell us beforehand. (I lost a draft during the down times … its annoying)
    If there were changes (especially in smaller areas) then I wish they inform us or those efforts to make the change might be wasted because people have learn to ignore all the areas that doesn’t work!

    • Thanks, I took it last spring. Well, there is never any communication, so why should yesterday be any different. 🙂 We are considered negative to ask such questions, that is the wrong term. As members, we are entitled to know what is going on, out of respect. Nothing negative about that.

      • It’s just sad and to be honest, I gave up sending them any emails or PM. I mean I’ve better things to do with my time! Or perhaps the admins are really good at conditioning us to not pester them. :p

        I think it’s unfair that we can’t reflect a problem because its “negative”. Anyway I see it as a cycle … but it doesn’t matter. It’s negative, we shall not talk about it. 😀

            What do you mean, I say what I feel, who calls it negative? Certainly not the site, or did I miss something? I am only asking a question.

          • I guess it’s what I feel sometimes. And it could be just me being sensitive. I was under the impression that posts which asked questions about Virily are automatically seen as negative. :/ But as I said, it could be me being overly sensitive.

            And, I just want to be clear that I’ve never thought such posts are negative. (when I said, “It’s negative, we shall not talk about it.” I meant to be sarcastic. oops) Sometimes, such posts can help some confused/frustrated users. The feeling of “I’m not the only one facing the problem” can sometimes be comforting enough! 🙂

            Lastly, I agree with you, it’s not difficult to put up an announcement board or just a banner to inform(they have done that before). It’ll be difficult only when they’re reluctant to do it.

          • I see things different than others on the site. I feel we should know when the site goes down and what change, if any were done. There is nothing negative with asking. 🙂 I think we are on the same page.
