Returning to Childhood

The latest craze to hit the U.S. is the setting up of a series of LEGO-inspired pop-up bars in cities like Houston and Denver and other U.S. cities.

Known as the Brick Bar this is where visitors can play with more than a million LEGO bricks and enjoy LEGO displays while they drink and socialize. The idea was to recall the nostalgia of playing with LEGO sets to people who are now of legal drinking age. There is even a Brick Bar website where you can get more information.

Brick Bars have made their debut in Australia and will soon open up in London and Manchester. At the U.S. bars, you can be sure to see hamburgers with buns in LEGO brick shapes and such entertainment as daring the brave to try to walk across a line of bricks in their bare feet. They are called Brick Bars because LEGO didn’t want their name to be associated with these drinking establishments.
