Brendel is one of my two cats. She loves soaking in the sun rays in the screen room. The weather has been too cold lately for her to really enjoy it. We finally got a nice day with sunshine and no rain. Looks like she finally got her day. I sat out with her and enjoyed the peace as well. She watched the birds for awhile as they visited Dustin’s garden. Then she gave it up. She stretched out on the chaise and took long naps. The life of a cat. More of those little things I so enjoy. Watching her relax brings happiness and relaxation to me. Wishing you all a relaxing day and weekend!

We have five cats and one dog. Guess who rules the household? (Answer: Momma cat, as the other four are her offspring – she sure knows how to hiss up a storm!)
I had a Momma cat once, I know how that goes. 🙂
My partner and I just admire her so, because she was feral and had her kittens in the shrubs on a vacant lot across the road (we live on the outskirts of a small fishing village, so it’s quiet here), My partner used to put food out for them, and Momma cat wouldn’t let them venture out of the bushes until she had made ABSOLUTELY certain that the coast was clear.
How cool, I love to hear stories like that. We need more people like you in the world.

It seems that Brendel is a contemplative cat, I’m sure she is one of those enlightened cats. Well, Susie and Popeye always accompany me to relax

I dunno….but I really don’t think animals help us relax, at least they’ve never helped me.
Being around cats and hearing them purr is a relaxing sound, a dog will sit and cuddle in your lap. Each to his own!
I guess so ☺ . Dogs are cool though and maybe if I tried they will help me relax. I never really tried.
It all depends on how much you need relaxation. It you are stressed out you will look for any way you can to relax. 🙂

Although I prefer dogs to cats, I find a cat’s purring to be very relaxing.
I always preferred dogs until I got two cats. The purring is cool.
