Gardening is fun, but finding enough containers to fill the garden and every little niche available is not so much fun for me. I hate spending on containers I’d rather spend the money on plants (LOL that is how I think). To solve the problem I came up with with the idea of home made containers .
I decided to use all my shampoo bottles as containers. These usually end up in the landfills (believe me here most of them still do despite all the claims of recycling) I cut them to the size I want , sand them and work on them with clay. I am not too much of a clay artist but I just do whatever I feel like and spray paint them for longevity.
This is one of my recycling, reusing, upcycling projects. My garden is full of these. I enjoy working on these projects.

I am a big recycler. I try to find ways to use things like old hangers and make a mobile.
Garbage is collected only after we sort it out. They use it for recycling whatever can be recyled. I use all wet garbage to produce compost.
It looks so nice! Yes, we also participate in recycling in the area where I live now In India, there is a ban on plastic as well

I’m using some old stuff out of use. I can not paint, but decorate them and use them. Crystal glass bottles or jars.
That i what matters that we reduce and reuse, painting or not is only for aesthetic value.

we try to have as much or more in the recycle bin and is in the garbage on the day both go out. We succeed on most days!
If the waste that goes out gets recycled properly then there is no need to worry. In our case it is not so.
plastic is the big issue in the US. It is not handled properly
Now that is news to me.
China announced that it would no longer recycle plastic, the US has nowhere to really fix that issue.
