Rain Tree – a memory

Why this tree is called Rain Tree I would not know but I have a memory that I would like to share.  The road that led to the school was lined with these trees providing enough shade and making that walk comfortable. 

Our house was not so far away and walking was not difficult  The interesting part of this tree was that it produced beans that  were  very sweet when fully ripe. We as kids would enjoy them not knowing whether they were good for us. 

Mother warned us not to eat them not that she knew whether those were good or bad for us  Yet we ate them not realising that once  seeds fell in my school bag which mother noticed and rest is history (lol)
