Private Message

I got a private message on Virly. I assume the person didn’t want to make it known publicly that he/she was the one that had sent it. One of the phrases really caught my attention and I thought it was worth sharing.

“And thank God that you don’t have a huge platform yet; your lack of influence allows you to fail with grace.”

So here I am failing with grace. That’s not all bad right! You never learn anything if you don’t fail. Practice makes perfect. Maybe someday I will find or build that platform that works perfectly for me.

  • Does this make any sense to you?

    • Yes
    • No

  1. I am confused at the point of a message like this. To put someone down is not alright. I hope you did not take it personal. None of us are perfect.

    • Of course I took it personally – in the condition that I am dealing with everything seems personal. It’s like rolling down hill and not being able to stop.

  2. OMG.
    I am so sorry.

I understand why someone would take the easy way out. But you do have a platform. You do reach many people and I love your posts!

I hope whoever sent you that message understands how mean that is.

    • Well, I honestly didn’t take as something mean. I just felt like they said I need to work harder and maybe get better to meet their expectations. I was confused, and not really offended. Thank you for saying you love my posts. I do try and simply keep it real and share. I am who I am.

  4. I don’t quite get what the sender wanna put across …
but yes, we all learn from failures …
