The plumeria is a beautiful tree. Well I do have many favorite trees ? . These are also called frangipani. These flowers are the national flower of Hawaii. It is related to the oleander .
It comes in many colors, I love the deep reds, the peach hues and the pinks. The whites are lovely too but they are pretty common. Each has a distinct fragrance of its own.
I have about six colors in small containers. These can easily be made into bonsai. They are fabulous when they are in bloom, the tree is filled with flowers, when not in bloom the large oval leaves look amazing.
Some of these trees are deciduous. However, the ones I have in containers do not shed their leaves completely at any time of the year.
I think these are one of the most painted and sculpted flowers after the lotus. Here is a video of this tree in my garden. Take a look if you are so inclined.

The world is filled with so much floral diversity. It’s hard to pick a favorite flower. But frangipani made my faves list a long time ago. Mind you! I’ve never seen the real flower. I’ve only seen photographs. So grateful for people who share photos.
I cannot believe that it made to your faves list without you ever having set eyes on the flower. This flower brings up so much of my lovely childhood memories that its been right at the top for me.
I learned about this flower by reading a romance novel. The book is what started me looking for photographs.

It is a common flower here and most temples also have them. Hindus use them in their worship. We have them here in many colours.
Yup but for me it is special, especially this color.
