Platonic friendship is normally where there is no physical relationship. It is a kind of spiritual relationship with common interests admiring each other. The question is how long can such friendship last. Can they keep their hands off each other specially when alone?
Can those in a platonic relationship go on a holiday together for instance and yet keep their hands off each other? Can just two minds be in love but physically distant?
People do claim they are in a platonic relationship but are they honest?

It is possible, and in my opinion should be more prevalent in our society especially now with the social distancing rules now in place for the forseeable future.
Friendship between a man and a woman at a mental level is not common but could be a beautiful one.
