Plants for a gift

There was one Christmas that we received 2 plants as gift from 2 relatives. That kind of gift was a very welcome change from the traditional clothing item or food stuff like cookies or chocolates. The plant is a growing thing that can last for a long time when taken good care of.

For my part, why not give a plant just to test if the receiver would like it. A fruiting strawberry shrub in a plastic pot, so easy to carry and to deliver. The receiver was very surprised and delighted especially when she noticed the raw strawberries. After a few days, I got a message that she had picked the ripe strawberries that were so sweet. The effort had paid.
