Pipevine Swallowtail in Garden

Captured this gorgeous blue Pipevine swallowtail aka Papilioninae in Dustin’s garden. The colors are so incredible on these butterflies. They are a little more challenging to photograph. They move faster than the yellow ones. But I managed to get a few photos of this one.

One can spot these species in the parts of Northern and Central America. In addition to this, they are also found along the parts of Guatemala and Costa Rica. The other regions where these species inhabit are Texas, Arizona, Florida, Tennessee and Nebraska. They have been seen in other states as well such as California.

The adult butterflies will fly from late April into October. I enjoy every moment I see them on the butterfly bush plants.

  1. Butterflies are frequent guests in Dustin’s garden. They are your gift from him because he knows how much you like them. Beautiful photo.
