This is one of my favorite places to walk around. Come November these trees are loaded with flowers which go on till February. It is just amazing to see the road spread with a carpet of petals. I have enjoyed walking here for years when my older son was at the university. I am hoping that my younger son would make it there to so I could visit him often and enjoy a few more years of this scenery.
This beautiful tree is called the pink trumpet tree. Or Tabebuia Rosea. After the rains when the dry cool weather sets in the leaves drop off partially and some trees start to bloom . However the best time to see these trees would be in end of January or early February. These are short trees 25-30 feet in height and with a beautiful umbrella shaped crown.
Planted on roadsides these make the best walking stretches or promenade roads as they are called. Planting Tabebuia rosea and Jacaranda together is my idea of a dream promenade avenue.

A great place to walk We have the Gulmohur and Peltophorums that skirt the roads.
I had to google Peltophorum to see what it is, we call them the copper pods. I used to see a lot of those trees in my childhood, but I guess the other trees like jacaranda and pink and yellow trumpets have taken over the place.
It looks like a magical garden!
That is exactly what I think about this avenue.
I would love this avenue if lived there. It would be my favorite place for walks.
I can so understand how you feel. I feel transported to magic lands when I am here.
What a wonderful avenue, my dear friend … but now the trees are leafless and you can’t see any flowers anywhere
Oh the winter scenes. they are pretty too in their own way. We have flowers all year round. One reason I love the tropics despite the heat.
You really have a completely different climate
A very beautiful scene, love the colors.
Very romantic too I would say!!
Beautiful picture. I would be happy to walk this road.
I am glad you like it dear Vida.
