Photo of the Day: Sunrise Across a Pond

Yesterday, I decided to jog around the neighborhood instead of the track oval. Though I am familiar with the area, I do not know what to expect to see early in the morning.

At first, I started going towards the city. But after a few minutes of walking, I decided to turn around and go towards the beach. I found out later that the beach is just about two kilometers from our house. I knew it was close but did not know exactly how close it was.

Many years ago, this area was mostly farmlands and fishponds. However, a large portion was already converted to residential lands after through the years.

I passed by one of the remaining ponds. Across the pond, I took a glimpse of a golden globe rising over the horizon.

I stopped to take a photo of the rising sun. I’m glad I took this route.
