Perseverance ~ Day 144

Perseverance is not giving up. It is persistence and tenacity, the effort required to do something and keep doing it till the end, even if it’s hard. Life can be difficult. It can be unfair. We all question things that happen. Most of the time with no answers. I am learning we cannot give up, no matter how many obstacles are thrown our way. Keep moving ahead. Perseverance is not giving up. I repeat this phrase a lot. As I observe this sunset from my deck I realize no matter what is going on, what has happened, who we have lost, the sun will rise and the sun will set. What happens in between is up to us.

When you dig a well, there’s no sign of water until you reach it, only rocks and dirt to move out of the way. You have removed enough; soon the pure water will flow. ~Buddha.

  1. Okay, I am back. Sorry I had to rush out. I think one of the main things I have learned is to not to clutter your life with things. The more things you have the more things you have to worry about, the more things you have to pay for, the more things you have to tend to and concern yourself with, and the more things you’re likely to convince yourself you need. Take time out to do things that make you happy and go out and enjoy nature. Enjoy the small stuff.

  2. Wow Carol or should I say Sunset Lady, this sunset is really captivating. The strong orange and yellow tones makes the sky look like its on fire. Also I’m beginning to believe that you are a natural life coach and philosopher.

    • Thank you again Bradley. Each sunset has so much beauty.
What a high compliment. After losing my son, I was a moderator of support groups for parents losing their child to suicide and I helped the new members as they joined, only because I knew exactly what they had been through. This is where the philosophy part of me comes from I guess. Thanks for the encouragement and continued support.
