Parades and processions

The holiday season is not complete without the parades and the processions that are related to the Catholic religion. The procession is connected to the church rites for the Christmas season called advent. The faithful have the candles and pray while they walk in the procession.

The parade is more festive and is usually held at daytime. The lantern parade is one spectacle to see the students marching in the street with each one holding their own handmade lantern. Schools are still holding such lantern parades even if the streets are now crowded with vehicles. At least the tradition lives on.
