Packaged vegetables

The vegetable sold in the supermarket are all packaged well in a plastic bag like the picture showed.

In UK, plastic bags have been removed for fruit and vegetables . The shoppers can instead buy reusable drawstring bags in a trial at two Sainsbury’s stores in July

It’s glad to hear such positive news, I hope the supermarkets in my country will follow suit soon.

I don’t like to buy vegetable in the supermarkets due to massive plastic bag usage too.

  1. Yes, I think it’s good if those packaged plastics can be removed. If we are working towards zero waste, we need more shops that allow us to bring our own containers. Or maybe there are some shops around, it’s just that I am not aware of them.

It’s good that at least when we go to wet market, we can avoid plastic bags for most items.
