I was looking at some audio monitors when I came across these 3 terms – Over Ears, On Ears and In Ears. They’re all headphones/earphones but they have different look and strength.
In-ear are the most portable due to their weight, while the over-ears are much more bulky and not so portable. However, over the ear have the best noise isolation/rejection.
So it’s much personal preference.

I prefer not to use headphones at all but when I work at night, this is unavoidable…
Headphones can help isolate noise (if you prefer quite) and then provide noise (when its too quiet) lol
I’d use more earphones when traveling tho
I hardly use headphones. Only when I travel by bus.
If I use the over on my ears sweat a lot.
I cannot do in or on, just over, but that is where my hearing aids live, so I guess I would not be able to use those. I do have a Big Blue Bluetooth speaker though.
Looks like I was in the majority. Thanks for this poll.
Over & In were my answers.
Thank you for sharing …
I actually think on is pretty cool but they’d sometimes mess up my hair lol
