For Themes by the Month challenge, here is a photo of my orange zinnia flower. Zinnias are one of my all time favorite annuals and there is a place in the garden for them every year. If you need a pop of color in your garden Zinnias are a must. They come in a variety of colors with some specialized colors like pop art and Persian carpet.
While the classic zinnias are tall and elegant and highly favored by gardeners, shorter versions like the Magellan and spreading ones like the the Crystal Series are gaining in popularity. There are four main types of zinnias; cactus flower, single flower, semi-double flower and fully-doubled flower.

Which of the two types of zinnias do you prefer?

cactus

semi-double flowered

These are truly beautiful and hardy flowers.
I agree they are hardy and even survive a bit of snow
Beautiful flower. I had to pick the semi one as it looks like it could grow wild.. I love them both though.
A combination of the two really compliments the garden
Ah yes, I bet they would. I need to be more creative in mine. I would of never have thought of that.
Such a bright ray of orange sunshine!
It’s nice to see it on these gloomy days
I like it more cactus, my friend

With great pleasure, dear friend
