On growing your views on Virily!

As you consider the impact of other users on your posts there are a few really important things.

  1. Reading posts is wholly your choice.
  2. All of us are bound by time, if you don’t have time to read the posts of others, that is ok.
  3. If you don’t like the topic, you don’t have to read posts
  4. If the person asks you to read their posts, that is barely ok.
  5. If the person demands you read their posts, don’t read them. Demanding others read your posts is honestly rude.

In that to grow your views, you need to read and comment on the posts of others. That is the fastest way to build your Virals. Comments add value for you (you get a Viril for posting the comment) and it also gives value to the author.  Now that said, driving users to your post can occur several ways.

  1. You are sharing our Creativity – a facebook group where many Virily writers post. The group rules, you post you must read the works of others.
  2. Bloggers are inspiring Bloggers – another facebook group, same rules as the first one

These two are not only for Virily posts. I’ve seen a couple of Facebook groups devoted to Virily only posts, but I haven’t joined those so I won’t speak to their value.

The reality of these groups is you will gain 5 to 10 views tops. You are better off getting one of the influencers to follow your posts. They all tend to bring 20-30 views. Views are up since December overall They go in cycles and frankly pay attention to the most commented articles. It shows the articles that are short term trending.

I’ve been watching traffic and watching who is moving the needle for other authors. The new influencer list is coming soon. I need a few more days to verify the information I have!

  2. I wished I had time to write and interact here but at the moment I am over filled with work.

    Do outside views count?
Do you have to be a member for the comment to post?
Why do you have to have 50 characters?

  3. People will comment if they want to comment. That said, I find the 20-character limit obtrusive. Because sometimes I only want to reply hahaha to you ? that is of course after a first long comment

  5. Its good to be free to be yourself on Virily and there is no way I can do everything in one day. I think it is OK and to be honest I don’t honestly want to read all the posts. Usually I will read what I can..

    • let me get this right- the girl who complains constantly if I don’t respond to each and every one of her comments is now accusing me of commenting for virils when I respond to her comments?

      nice one

  6. I always try to read what a person has written to find out what he wants to tell us. I comment on the post with an answer on the subject. Earlier, I shared my life primarily in facebook or Google. I’m not doing it anymore. As Lado says, lately I have a tendency in virily that if you do not comment and your post does not comment on it.

  7. For me, friendship is the most important, and not a transaction, but the miracle of sincere friendship between writers here is that they will still read our writing even though we have limited time at certain times which sometimes makes us unable to visit them.

As a person who prioritizes friendship, of course, we need to appreciate our friends’ posts; their ideas, writings, and comments.

  8. I always read posts, most of them are very interesting to me because I’m curious and I’m interested in various topics. I write in my comments my sincere opinion. I’m not afraid of comments though they are not good. Everyone has the right to write his own opinion.

  9. From the beginning, I read every post commenting … now I’m only commenting on those posts that comment on me, or I know that he will return me … I’ll look at another post and read if I’m interested in and I profess to see the post

  10. You give some good advice. I shy away from groups. I tried of them and received ridicule for asking a question. I decided I don’t belong. I find that a lot in my life. It’s like I am a square peg trying to fit in a round hole. It probably says more about me than the group. Everyone deserves to be “seen” in some positive way. Then again, life is not fair. I am sure I have prattle enough and said little.

  11. I am happy for now on Virily even though I might not be getting that many views or comments on my post as most of them are very long to read. But I apreciate everyone who reads them, comments on them and up votes them as you know very well. I cannot help thanking, in writing, anybody who visits and takes the time to read my article. And I also always give the comments that my posts receive at least one point. I think it is just being polite but also very important to thank anybody… You cannot say enough thank you, it usually brings something in return…

    • I read a great book, something about lost thank you in business but I don’t recall the actual title. The gist was, say thank you!!!

So thank you for your thoughtful and kind comment.

  12. I made adjustments to my contents when I decided to be active in Virily. I usually write contents related to blogging, business and making money. But when I visited other posts, mostly are photos of everyday things. So I decided to take my mobile and started taking pictures. Well, this is easier for me as writing short features of photos is easier than writing 1,000 and up words for whole content.

With regards to gaining more views, I share my posts on social media and Pinterest. Having a group can be very helpful, too. Thank you for sharing.
