Old Photos from my GP No 11- Procession

Part of the celebration of the Holy Week is the procession of floats carrying life-size figures that depicts the events that happened in the life of Jesus from his ‘Triumphant Entry’ to Jerusalem up to His crucifixion, death, and burial. These include important events such as the ‘Last Supper’ when Jesus prayed in the Graden of Gethsemane, His capture, torture, the carrying of the cross, and many more. This procession is held during the Good Friday.

And on Easter morning at 3 AM. Another procession is held to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

This year, however, no procession was held due to the threat of the covid-19 virus. No procession was held. The mass celebrations were instead broadcasted over the TV, radio and the Internet.

The photo was taken during the procession in 2017. It represents the ‘Last Supper’.
