There are no tigers hanging out where I live and I realized that I really know very little about them. It seemed like a good idea to learn something about them. Perhaps the next time I go to the zoo I would have something to share with the children.
The first fact I found very curious. Whiles I suppose it is accurate because it was confirmed in several reputable places, I don’t know how they discovered it. If you shave a tiger (why would you?) you can still see the stripes on their skin and it is like a fingerprint, no two are exactly alike. Who had the idea that they should shave a tiger?
Tigers like many other animals mark their territory will scent markers. However their scent is said to smell like buttered popcorn.
Tigers can’t purr. So how do you when a tiger is happy with you? Apparently they squint their eyes.
Tiger saliva has it’s own healing properties.

Tigers are awesome creatures and there are many different kinds of tigers in this world.
There are a number of species typical of tigers in my country but never knew before about what you said here. Very interesting.
