In the New Year Would You Rather…?

Going into the new year many will make resolutions to reach hopes and dreams or to make specific modifications to the way they live. For various reasons people set goals to drop some pounds, get more sleep, be on time rather than late, and the like.

Sometimes the plans are quite grand and/or important, sometimes the decisions are simple, straightforward life changes that improve one’s general well being. Whatever it is we hope to achieve we’ll disappoint ourselves if we do not make meaningful plans.

To crank up brain cells before the first of next year here are a few questions to help us think about what we want to look back on at it’s end. Barring unforeseen circumstances, we face 365 new days. How can we think so we can live purposefully?

Let us know in the comments below what you think of the poll. No matter what, consider living mindfully in the coming year. A good beginning is to make sure you know the One who came to give abundant life.

  1. I chose to look back at 2017 with gratitude in my heart for the challenges and lessons learned and I would rather live in the present than keep on looking forward to the future. New Year’s resolutions do not work for me either.

  2. I’m glad to know we think alike- ha ha! the fist question about knowing the future -Is a question I would always say yes to in the past. I guess life has a funny way of making us learn that knowing what is coming ahead all the time -Is painful and not always unavoidable.

    • Thanks so much for you kind feedback. Again I see that I should have waited to publish and given the intro to the questions another proofreading. I know better than to try to write when sleepy!
