New modem for faster internet access

A new modem was delivered from our internet provider to replace our old modem which was still running. The delivery guy said that a technician will come to install the new modem. It didn’t take long for the technician to arrive and easily replaced the old modem with the new one.

But upon asking the details on the speed, the technician admitted that the new modem is just a preparation for the new system that their company is migrating to. That means the new modem is nothing but just new. It has nothing to do with the speed or anything. So our internet access is of the same speed.
