Neighborhood Gathering

We are not very close with our neighbors. We are pretty private. We do things like help with snow removal, deliver treats and typically we don’t do much socializing with them. Well, yesterday I was not the one who opened the door!

So this evening there is a neighborhood gathering. Here’s the kicker! The hostess gave the recipe, the amount needed for me to make and bring to the gathering. So I guess I have the please of making 100 bacon wrapped Brussels sprouts. I suppose I should be thankful she brought the recipe because I have no idea how to make them and I hope I can find a picture of what they look like.

I shouldn’t be upset. I should be happy that they wanted to include us and pleased to get out of the house. When it comes right down to it, I know that the other family members will back out and I will have to go alone. I don’t love that.

My educated guess, it’s still early things could change, is that I will make the items and deliver them 30 minutes before the event and explain why I won’t be attending. (I think it will be that I had other plans.)

  1. In the past, we’ve had neighbors (In Indiana) that we loved. Then we moved to Maryland and our neighbors were, well not nice. Then we moved again and now we have awesome neighbors!

I guess there isn’t a point to my ramble. Just that good neighbors make all the difference.
