Sometimes it is fun to ask someone else to pick a subject for you to write about. I did that today I asked a friend and her response was “pickles”.
I don’t know much about pickles. Here is what immediately went through my mind, literally. “I don’t like pickles on my hamburgers. I do like dill pickle potato chips. I bet Rex Trulove knows everything about pickles. I better learn something about pickles.
There are ten most common types of pickles. Here they are in no particular order.
○ Candied pickles
○ Bread and butt pickles
○ Sweet pickles
○ Fermented pickles
○ Half sour pickles
○ Kosher pickles
○ Gherkin pickles
○ Sour pickles
While learning about the differences it occured to me, I don’t mind pickles cold and I don’t enjoy them on warm food. So today I learned something about pickles and how I feel about them.

I like pickle flavored potato chips, too! I don’t eat them often because I am more into the healthy snacks, but they are yums. Yes I had to learn all the kinds of pickles because we grew them and had to can the harvest.
Those chips are different. I kept eating them so I must have found something I liked about them!
