This is Tongario National Park from lake Taupo. This contains three active volcanos, Tongario, Ruapehu and Ngaruahoe. The sky is cloudy but you can definetly see the snow on the mountains.
It was cloudy this day and from where I was standing there was a golf cart. People were hitting the golf ball into the water trying to get a hole in one for that on a raft in lake Taupo.
Good luck to them.
I asked the woman how they got the golf balls back and she said they had divers go and get them back.

Yes, Lado the Tongario National Park has three “Active” volcanoes, Tongario, Ngaruahoe and Ruapehu. Thanks. Every now and then a mountain here has a volcanic eruption.
Is it ever dangerous for residents?
Yes, active volcanoes are dangerous…usually there is a warning first

i would love to visit NZ. It is on my list of places to visit! (on my wife’s list as well)!
I think it would be a good destination and choice, though if you travel by car, be careful to get rested and don’t drive tired.
Most tourists die in car crashes because they are tired and come from a country where they drive on the right hand side of the road, as we keep to the left.
My advice, walk as you do while driving and also rest..Wear good sunglasses on the road, not cheap. I have Bilboa sunglasses and I am not so tired driving as they are good. Buy quality not fashion.Quality is not the most expensive

Wear good sunglasses anyway, our UV rays and sunlight is brighter than most places in the world….I wear sunglasses when being driven or driving on a sunny or cloudy day all the time.
yes I always wear sunglasses. The glint of light on water can blind you while boating!

The last I travelled was to NZ and Australia and the next year I met with an accident here and that has put a stop to travel. I have done a lot of travel and so must be happy.
