A few days ago I visited another gem of my beautiful land. The Dovzan Gorge is geologically one of the most interesting areas of Slovenia. It is distinguished by the exceptional diversity of sedimentary rocks and the abundance and diversity of fossil remains. Interesting facts of the Dovžan Gorge helps us discover a scenic educational path. Here we learn about various rocks and fossils, whose formation is explained on the information boards along the way. The Dovžan Gorge is one of the focal points of the Slovene Geological Transversal and is protected as a natural monument because of the unique site of the remains of the fossilized life of plants and animals in the rocks of the ancient Palaeozoic. The oldest and largest fossil specimens ever found are around 270 million years old.

It looks beautiful there and I love walking along streams with the sound of water. I can almost hear that viewing these pictures.
I have a question: Did you use any tags with this post? There are none showing and a number of us are having a problem with our tags not working. It’s hard to tell if people are having the same problem or just not using any tags.
I love walking along the water. Water calms me and released.
I did not use any tags for this post. I don’t always use tags. Now I’m going to do a post and use the tags. I’ll see if the tags are visible.

when I was younger, I used to hike at Cucamonga Canyon but I never found any fossils…
We have quite a few gorges but no fossils
you said at the top there were fossils
I thought of the other gorges we still have
gorges and fossils go together like peanut butter and jelly
Love the photo a lot.
