Narcissus flower

Daffodils symbolize a new beginning because they are the first spring flowers to bloom soon after the winter frost has melted. The Latin name for narcissus is Narcissus, the Greek mythological character who loves himself so much. His arrogance eventually led him to death when he fell into the river and drowned to take a closer look at his own reflection. For this, narcissus can also be called a symbol of frivolity.

Daffodils symbolize birthday in March. They are one of the most recognizable spring flowers, known for their bright yellow and white petals. Their flowers are formed by a central cup-shaped corona (part of the flower holding stamens), surrounded by six large petals. Popular around Easter, the birth flowers for March signal the end of winter and the arrival of spring. The birthday birthday in March is native to the Mediterranean, where it was grown by ancient Greeks and Romans. Today, daffodils are most widely grown in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom and there are more than 13,000 hybrid narcissus varieties ranging from yellow and white, to orange and pink.
