Narcissus is a reliable connoisseur of the true, colorful spring, so she also bloomed in my garden in all her beauty. The flowers begin in March and late varieties are delighting us until the end of May. In the gardens it is self-evident and so modest that it is ignored by all too often and by guilt. She does not care much about this, because she knows that her symbolism and history are so interesting that she will never drown in an average and forgetfulness. Narcissus are permanent bulbs, home in the Mediterranean and mostly overwhelmingly strong. We plant them like all the bulbs in sunny or partially shaded areas, into permeable soils with high nutrients. A well drained soil is a prerequisite for good growth and abundant flowering. The bulbs are planted in autumn, at least for two of their height deep. They have a distinctly pointed shape with their nose. Those with two noses are especially high quality and rich in flowering. We plant them always in groups, separated by varieties and colors; dominated by yellow and white. Narcissus has very varied forms and ways of growth, from small cyclamast to high trumpet with flowered flowers. Based on the shape of the flowers, they were divided into 12 groups. Some varieties are extremely breathing, so it is not unusual for essential oil from daffodils to be used for making perfumes.

Thanks for viewing and friendly comment Robin…Greetings to you too
I am not able to grow them where I live, but when we go down the mountain we see many and enjoy them.
Thanks for viewing and friendly comment…there is also one mountain in our country. which is well known for its narcisuus … it is only slightly higher and there is only bloom around May 1st … the whole mountain is white and yellow with narcisuus
Narcissus reminded me of Greek mythology about the hunter who died falling in love with his own reflection
after breaking the heart of the poor nymph, Echo…
Now Echo haunts us in wherever mountain we go ??? do you play echo in the mountains Mr. A?
I play with echo whenever I get the chance
