I got this picture at the end of last year on my last visit and all the siblings with each of our family at my father’s grave.
As some of you already know that almost all of my writing contains things that are related to esoteric, mystical, spirituality or philosophical stuff. For that, this time I don’t want to say such a thing but instead ask you with all due respect to do a little observe on this picture a little and share a little wisdom, your thoughts or even just a contextual quote in this post.
You may also put your contextual conclusions about various things that I have written before in Virily, regardless of whether they are subjective or objective.

There is neither past nor future, just the moment you are in now. Everything else is just an illusion.

Great! Now you put wisdom from that direction!
Beneath the rust and grime which dulls the shine of our weathered hearts, joy patiently waits to be rediscovered. ~John Mark Green
Wow! Wow! Wow! You have put the great wisdom of the universe here, Carol. I am sure you have put here something that best suits you!
It really spoke to me my friend. Glad you approve.
I like Kim’s response. What does not kill people cam make them stronger. If people choose to cope out, only sadder days will follow. Stuck on a rock! I have had to be strong most of my life, and I can say that having a determination spirit helped me.
I am fully convinced that you have openness to accept everything that comes to you, and a strong determination to help you get out of all the challenges, LaJenna.
When I saw the picture somehow I just knew it had to be Albert’s. The nail looks like is stuck in a rock.
I think you have succeeded in recognizing my explorative style of small things or events, brother. lol
I am truly grateful and appreciate your identification on me.
The nail is actually stuck in a tree.
Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving; we get stronger and more resilient. — Dr. Steve Mariboli
Ah the resilience of nature can teach us a lot. The nail in the tree does not kill it, it makes it stronger.
That’s a very beautiful and strong philosophy, Kim! In fact, over time the tree will hug tightly and keep the nail in it, without heartache!
“when the only tool you carry is a hammer, everything is a nail.”
That is cool! That is a saying that describes our perspective, right?
Perspective or (I prefer) orientation is the way to shape the observation!
Yes make sure you get the hammer to hit the nail and not you!
Cool! It’s an impressive perspective, especially if you describe the meaning a little. lol
You will understand me dear friend … I really do not know what to comment … I do not know how to think deeply like you
I really can understand, dear friend. But I’m sure you’ve nailed something, right?
It’s not long before I woke up and the brain is not working yet … if I still have anything else … haha
If that’s the reason, I won’t ask again besides waiting until the fairy comes to pick up your words.
Prefer not ask anything dear friend….prefer just wait for a good fairy
hahaha… I think we are waiting for the same fairy even though for a different time, dear friend.
Maybe they have fixed a birds house. You can put nails or screws into trees, BUT you must be aware of the effects it will have. Think about the timber factories! What happens if such trees are processed? They can damage machines or even hurt people.(An engineer can not think as a philosopher!?)
Btw! I remember you said “The nail on the wood could have been removed, but the hole would still be left there.”(You are a philosopher!)
You have placed a typical engineer’s wisdom here! That is cool, Ileana!
Hah! I am very sure you have wisdom considering the many wise quotes you put on your posts! You are just like the moon who deliberately hid behind the clouds!
All my life I thought like an engineer in everything I did. I would love to be philosopher but I have no skills!
See! The moon is trying to hide again!
Hey, I have read a lot of your posts, ma’am.
The nail represents that we must stay grounded no matter what the circumstances may be at any particular time.
Your view illustrates your modesty, my friend. Thank you for putting your wisdom here.
The nail… The nail is rusty. ha!!! my brain is not working… shake shake my head here.
Awhh… Stop! Don’t shake your head too hard, I’m afraid the contents will be difficult to back again as before. Let the rusty nails stay there longer, who knows later you will find inspiration without needing to shake your head, unless you are watching the Trash Metal show.
I believe that the nail is on a cement block. All I can think of a nail thought. The infamous saying “The nail in the coffin.”
Maybe you didn’t visit this post:
https://virily.com/virily_poll/a-loving-hug-wacky-wednesday/
If you see a warm hug there, this nail sticks a few inches above it.
Btw, I would be happy if you explained a little about the saying, Dee.
The nail in the coffin would mean the end of the life of a person.
I see… When we can no longer make stories with our lives…
It is true when the end of the line comes for all of us.
I also often visit the tombs of relatives that are the most spiritual.
Very interesting, dear friend. Then what is your impression after that?
not at all what you’re looking for, but the only nail quote I can think of right now is Derukui wa uta remasu (the nail which sticks up gets pounded down)
Hey… It’s very interesting, but it looks like you need to describe more of the meaning!
this is a very famous Japanese saying, which illustrates the premium their society places on conformity…
I did ever read the quotes, but who knows you have more explanation about that because Japanese people tend to be difficult to be different while I know that you so enthusiastic about Japan.
I really enjoy Japanese culture, I find it fascinating
Basically, we have something in common about it, it’s just that maybe you have learned it more deeply.
I try to understand Japanese things in the context of their culture. Otherwise it is pretty confusing sometimes
That is understandable given that differences in values involve differences in beliefs and perspectives.
also, most Japanese things are created for a Japanese audience so they make assumations about what you know…
I think that is indeed their characteristic for a long time. They make the best products for their people and guess what is good for us outside Japan, so often similar products which are better available in their country.
if you’re talking hardware, there seems to be a three to five year wait for the rest of the world to get a shot at it…
