Are you a mysterious user with an alias for the profile name and has no real picture for the profile picture? I find that in forums there are more members who do not use their real name for the user name and their photo is anything but not their face.
I have nothing against those people with that kind of mentality. They don’t want to show their identity for their own reason. But I wonder why sometimes there are members who are criticizing my profile picture that it is always the same in all forums and sites that I am in. It’s ironic because those who point out my usual profile photo are those with no photo of themselves.

In this cyber world, anonymity is the best way. This is just my opinion.
I probably should change mine for security reasons.
While I don’t use my picture, the one I use has great meaning to me. It reflects my heritage and my love of music. I find it comforting.

I would strongly advise you to use a generic picture. From a pure security perspective, it is best not to connect you and your smile!
sorry, i do agree that hiding is bad. But sometimes we have to hide for safety’s sake.
