My Yellow Garden

I haven’t been here for a while, due to multiple reasons. One of them was my moving to a countryside. Although all things about moving were ugly, one fact makes it all better- that I am living in a little cottage in a picturesque village, near my hometown. My animals have space to run and even some trees to climb on and I have some ground for growing flowers, vegetables and herbs.

My vegetable garden started accidentally. I wanted to take with me some plants, so I put them in pots, filled with soil from my backyard, where I had three cherry tomatoes plants. And when I moved to a cottage and put those pots on the porch, in few days, some new plants started to emerge. All of a sudden, pots were full of tomato sprouts from the seeds that were in the ground! I replaced them in a bigger pot until they became big and strong enough, so I could plant them in a garden. Since there’s a good soil here, I put some pumpkins, cucumber, sunflower and paprika seeds in to the ground, in order to make some sprouts for planting. And everything grew! Now I’m dealing with my plants: watering them, plucking grass from their beds and talking with them, as any real country girl does. And I found that the most interesting thing to do. ?

  1. Aha! Now I know why you disappear for long! Hey, I thank you for all your visit to my posts! That’s quite surprising me while I buried with all jobs time and family activities!

Gardening is the best way to feel the love of nature!!! I’m glad you enjoy it, Zaklina! Organic? Hmmm… that’s the best way to planting for me!

    • That wasn’t the only reason of my absence. I couldn’t log in for a long time so, as soon as I appeared here, I tried to catch up with your posts. 🙂
I never thought about me as gardener, but it happened that I tried and found it amusing. Now, I have three small patches with vegetable and one with herbs and flowers. Finally, I have ”a Mrs. Cat’s garden experience” in real life. 😀

  2. You will love your new home, especially with a garden. I hated gardening when I was a kid growing up on a farm and all the other kids were out playing while I was home weeding. One of my jobs was pulling caterpillars off our rows and rows of tomato plants. I hated that so much that when I was grown up I avoided gardens like the plague until learning about hydroponic growing. No dirt, no bugs, no stooping. Organic. Indoors. Now I grow as much of my own food as possible for a person who travels constantly and doesn’t have much of a yard.

  3. Very interesting poll! The closest to having my own vegetable garden is when I was a child and my grandma let me plant a few seeds and take care of the plants. But I have always wanted to be able to produce my own vegetables.
