Roses are pretty and are popular throughout the world. I love the new double shaded roses we have developed in the last 15-20 years. The sizes and colors of these roses are amazing.
I liked this one and bought a small plant a few months ago. This hasn’t bloomed very often but when it blooms I go click happy.
It is a grafted plant and I noticed the leaves proliferating. The wild rose below the graft seems to have taken off. I had to cut every single shoot to ensure that the graft survives. I hope it does.

There was a time I had some unique varieties of roses in my garden but not any more. Rose with its vast variety can beat any flower with a big margin.
Hmm.. It one more vote for the rose.
There are a lot of other flowers that I find prettier than roses but that doesn’t really detract from them.
I tend to agree with you. Roses are pretty but they could be too fussy.

There is something about roses that no other flower can take its place when it comes to being judged the number one in any garden.
Its the shape and the fragrance that makes the killer combination I guess.
