My Rose For Today – Enjoying The Sun

This picture was taken a few days ago when the rain was beating down mercilessly. For the last two days there has been no rain, it sunshine all the way. Our roads are looking the better for it. The continuous rains have washed away all our roads and we have potholes and craters more than the roads themselves.

The roses hardly stay on the plant for two days now, they look battered. Look at this one in the picture it is loaded with water, most of the roses are hanging down because their stems are broken by the pelting they received from  the hail storm we had a few days ago . This one seems to have taken it all courageously.

The dogs have decided that they need to sunbathe and are up on the terrace catching the sun. They will enjoy their walk today I guess they don’t have to jump over puddles.

  1. The picture is really beautiful, dear Dawn … but despite the autumn we have beautiful sunny and warm weather … too warm for this time of year

  2. We just had a hail storm only two days before and sun is always welcome in a hilly place where rain is expected any moment. I am waiting for roses to bloom in a fortnight or so.
