My Rose for the day

Here is a sweet scented rose for all my friends here. This is one of the few roses in  my garden that welcomes you with a lovely fragrance. Most of the roses I have are hybrid , they look great but they have absolutely no fragrance at all.

This is a floribunda variety, meaning blooms in clusters. The leaves are bronze tinged when new and grow into a dark glossy green as they  mature.  These can be easily grown in containers. Pruning the plant when it is less active ( we do not have dormant periods here) helps get more blooms. These plants if planted on the ground can grow up to ten feet straggly and ugly, trimming keeps them in good shape, healthy, bushy and blooming.
