Our home faces the road and the we have a few apartments next to our villa. This mean we have very little privacy when we want to enjoy a few minutes on the porch. I thought of having a bamboo curtain there but that would block out all the light.. I decided to make the porch like the rest of the house a mini rain forest. I have Asparagus ferns, philodendrons, pothos , hibiscus and garlic vine to make my own privacy curtain. This is how it looks in the morning when the sun is up. I am kind of loving it .
I plan to keep that open space open. to allow me to see the blue skies and sun. I love the way light filters in in the mornings. the shadows that fall are lovely too.

Oh my God, this is super nice curtain and no need a wash!
No need to wash, but needs watering everyday. 😀
That’s a great idea. I need something similar.
Vines with lovely flowers could be nice. But since mine is a container garden only I couldn’t plant those kinds of vines here.
This is a great idea for a little privacy, dear Grace … but the sun is still poking around behind the greenery
I sincerely apologize for the name change, dear Dawn
No worries at all, no need to apologize. I want a little bit of sun shine and I am not planning on covering that bit.
And I wish you so much in your life … let it shine through you every day, my dear friend
A nice way to bring the sun into your home.
Thank you Carol, I would have it no other way. 😀
A great idea and well executed. What a natural way to get some privacy?
Thank you MohanBabu, its cooler too this way.
I had written a post about those curtain creepers also known as veronica that can be used for making beautiful curtains for your garden.
I do not need to have plants indoors as we have clear glass windows and the garden is visible from all sides.
I would have liked to have veronica there , but there were two problems veronica tends to get too thick and cuts out all light and i just have a few strands at this moment.
I also have long semi transparent glass windows all around the house. Indoor plants aren’t just for greenery, they also remove the toxins inside the home and gives us cleaner air.
The thickness can be reduced to meet your requirements as they are so neat My mother had them.
As for indoor plants not all remove toxins The ones that I know are the Sansevieria.
