My dream came true

I am no architect but I had this dream to design my own home and for this we had to shift to a semi rural town as buying land in the city was beyond us. We got land at a cheap rate.  I gave up working and started on my mission – to realise my dream.

I only had the engineer and everything else was planned by me.  I had to fulfil my husband’s wishes of white to be the predominant colour and I succeeded. I used marble chips for the exterior and marble paste finish for inside walls

It took us almost a year to decide on its name and we christened it SOLITAIRE

Solitaire faces the East and that brings us the rising sun each morning It has the ground and first floor with  3 bedrooms, three toilets, a kitchen and a hall that takes care of dining, entertainment area and the visitor’s lounge. There is also a pantry – the space used under the staircase.

    • I live in India and I do have trees as that is what is needed more than flowers. I do have flowers but tress are more important

  1. I partly reform the apartment I rent. And I dream of a village house. You are a very practical person. I’m glad you made your dream come true.

    • Indeed it is and I was grateful to my husband that he gave me a free hand. He only wanted that it should be white and I pleased him but it was not easy
