The rose today is red, dear friends! The red rose is always the perfect messenger. The first evidence of the existence of red roses is found in the paintings and texts of Ancient Greece, where they were associated with the tumultuous love story between the god Adonis and the goddess Aphrodite. Legends say that the first red rose emerged from Adonis blood, and thus became a symbol of love, even after death.
Later, in the Early Middle Ages the red rose was associated with the blood that Jesus poured on the cross when it was crucified, this time being about love for God and holy things.
