My daily pictures – Colorful umbrellas hanging on the street

In my post My daily picture – Tulip Symphony I told you about my trip to Pitesti. If you missed it, click the link!

Pitesti is “my teenage town”, as I like to call it. Here I spent the most beautiful years of my life. Here I did high school, here I met my husband. I left Pitesti when I started university studies. Although I wanted to return to this city after graduation, it was not possible. Now, whenever I get the chance, I’m going to visit this beautiful town. Every time, I have the feeling of returning home.

These colorful umbrellas hanging on the street, caught my eyes on my last trip in Pitesti. The only role of these umbrellas is decorative one and must admit they look great.

That is all for today!

Happy Easter to all who celebrate Easter tomorrow! I will celebrate in a week, when it is Orthodox Easter.

  1. Super photo, Ileana! Pitesti sounds like a great place. I have the ability to feel at home almost anywhere. I have lived in many countries, but I guess the place i felt most at home (except for here) was Israel, the the people are so very warm and sharing 🙂

  2. I never had experience in another place that I can consider to be at home other than my own home. This place is beautiful and the umbrellas added color to the place. But I just noticed, the umbrellas only have 3 colors, green, red and white. Does it symbolize something?

    • I do not know if these colors have any meaning. It is possible to have chosen green and red umbrellas to signify that it is a festival of spring and flowers! And white usually signifies peace!
