My daily picture – Wild pink rose bush

I have taken this picture on my last walk on Ialomita Valley.  It’s the place where many wild roses are growing. In the summer I go to admire the beauty of the flowers and in autumn to pick  its  fruits for tea.

This wild rose shrub has been known since the Stone Age. It is found everywhere at the edges of the road, at the forests and can grow up to a height of 3-5 m, sometimes even higher. Wild rose is not only a distinguished decoration of our gardens, which enjoys the eyes with its extraordinary beauty, but also a real deposit of vitamins and useful properties.

It  blossoms from May to June. Its   flowers will certainly be useful because a decoction of the rosehip can help treat almost all diseases and significantly improve overall health.

“Wild roses are fairest, and nature a better gardener than art.”Louisa May Alcott
