Working with someone who has Dissociative Identity Disorder can be manageable. It does take some understanding and clarification. Let’s use Bonnie as an example. Bonnie actually has three distinct personas, thankfully they wear their hair different and dress in different colors. So it is helpful to keep that information handy so you are using the right name, right preferences, and relating to the persona.
For example, she may come to work as Bonnie, who really enjoys working with me and then after break she is Jeanette. Jeanette doesn’t like to work with me and so I quickly switch to an alternate work area so her day will not be impacted by me being near her.
If she comes as Vanessa a supervisor needs to be contacted because she needs to be taken home.
It is not about judgement, it is about everyone being comfortable and safe at work.

That sounds vaguely like multiple personality disorder. I do not think I would be comfortable working with a person like this but not with anybody else for that matter at my age. That is why I chose to work from home not because of the kids (I do not have any) or the hubby (I do not have that any more) but just because I want to be by myself and be able to do what I want, whenever I want and however I want. Selfish, maybe but at my age I do not really care what anybody else thinks. Sorry about my exuberance on your post but I just went through a difficult conversation before coming on Virily. Sorry about that. But I will definitely check that term because, even me as an ex registered nurse, I never heard it before.
It is the same thing. They have just updated the terminology. Progress happens.
I think it is very difficult to work with those people but they are human being, too.
many characters in my current graphic novel have D.I.D. because they were under the mk-ultra program to perform different tasks under different identities. The only reason I am familiar with this order is because of many celebrities and their alter egos coming out at different times to promote different stuff for the media. for example, nikki minaj’s roman and beyonce’s sasha fierce. i forgot the rest of the celebrities and their alters…oh, i think britney spears was always display on tv clips wearing a different color wig and doing a different accent, like a british accent, when she was going through her mental breakdown.
It does make things interesting and it needs to be explained. She was very capable at times.
