My best friend

We were colleagues for many years but worked in different Departments most of the years I was there, having spent  a couple of years in the Department where she worked. 

They had shifted from another State and were looking for a flat.  We helped them and they got a flat not so far from where we lived and that strengthened our friendship. 

I gave up my  job midway while she still continued but that did not stop our friendship.  Even after we shifted to this semi rural town  she continue to keep in touch and in fact became our guest a number of times.  We even went together on a short holiday 

Her husband visited us here with her – his firs visit a couple of years ago. 

We just had a long chat over the phone just yesterday.  Sadly I am not sure when we will see each other with the pandemic chasing us.
