Music Is Inspirational

  • Listening to music while you’re working out can improve your physical performance. I know music inspires me so I write the most poems while listening to music.
  • It appears that the reason a person listens to the original version of a song better than another version is that they heard it first. I would think that the music and words are comforting and familiar. However, I have heard different versions of some songs which I think certain artists perform better.
  • Warner Bros. Records received more than 2 million U.S. dollars in royalties in 2008 for the public usage of “Happy Birthday”.
  • It is possible that a favorite song is your favorite because you associate it with a particularly emotional event in your life. I know that I loved my teen years and early adulthood and therefore one of my top favorite songs is “Glory Days” by Bruce Springsteen.
  • None of The Beatles could read music. Now just reading this I was thinking to myself say what? McCartney and Lennon wrote all of those fantastic songs but yes, they never learned to read the notes. They knew the chords and where middle C was on the piano. Still, they came out with dynamite lyrics and a sound everyone loved. In this case, you could say anything at all is possible.
  • Your heartbeat changes and mimics the music you listen too. I always wondered why my heart boomed like a set of drums when I have blasted some of my favorite music.
  • Flowers grow faster by having music played for them. They like to listen to it. I know my houseplants are lush and green. They seem to do better when I play music every day.
  • Elvis never wrote any of his own songs. Instead, he chose the songs he wanted to sing and hired writers to do the writing for him.
  • The type of music you listen to affects the way you perceive the world.
  • Barry Manilow didn’t write the song “I Write the Songs”. It was written by Bruce Johnston in 1975.

My musical talent goes as far as I can read piano notes and I can play but not very well. I played for myself and I had the melody and words before me and in my head but I sang like a bullfrog. I left my piano in Latvia but maybe one day I might get a keyboard just to play on for fun.
