My first IT boss used to say “one ah crap, wipes out 25 attaboys.” I didn’t understand that until I started blogging. One negative comment wipes out 25 or more positive comments. Seriously, think about it when you read comments you can get praise from 25 people but the person that says “that is stupid” is the one you remember. It is why I developed my concept of Digital Rude. If you only post negative things in one place, without ever erasing the negative with positive it is beyond posting and well into shouting. It is so important to make sure you post both the negative (ah crap) and the positive (attaboy or attagirl or probably in this modern climate attahuman entity.)
Following up on the post of yesterday about Google + going away the early leader (I also posted the question on MyLot) is Tumblr. I cannot in fairness speak to the strength or weakness of Tumblr due to a conflict of interest issue.
I did find it interesting, and I am going to focus today on what it is that people for when they share their posts. Albert posted an interesting thought this morning that I want to expand on. The reality of Virily is the global impact. Social Media also global impact. You can quite quickly map your twitter followers on a global scale. My biggest influencing country today (most read, etc.) was Canada. Yesterday it was Pakistan. Sunday my top country was the USA. That is an interesting spread of people reading my tweets.
MyLot is a great place for questions, but you can’t share Virily posts there. Quora is nice, but limited regarding audience. Patron is nice but is a different style of site overall. All of these sites are for the most part global. In fairness, some are blocked in certain countries so they may not be visible and available where you are.
Today first off all please let me know in the comments what sites you can’t get to in your country!
The next thing is if I miss something that you use Social media for, please add that to the comments as well!

I have shared blogs on this site to Twitter and Pinterest with great results on both sites.
I seem to get a much better response on twitter, thanks for including pinterest!
Pinterest is a very valuable site to share the stories.
I use it as a Virily backup (I used to write on Niume). I don’t have as many followers on that platform.
I came here after Niume folded a few years ago.
Niume made me sad to say the least. I started here as well as Niume was crumbling around me.
It hurt me to see Niume go down.
It was really tough to deal with for me as well. Niume had a lot more interaction between the moderators and the writers. The admin team was also more interactive. But in the end, the site was doomed.
They put all their eggs in one basket.
Sad to say that the site closed due to too many eggs in one basket as you mentioned.
I can get all of your listed sites. I sometimes try on Xenzuu.
I have not heard of Xenzuu will check it out!
