Mindful eating is a tool that helps us give new meaning to our relationship with what we have on the plate by teaching us that food is also for the soul.
The ultimate goal of this philosophy of life is not to lose weight, although it may actually be a consequence in the body of those who follow this eating style, nor is it blindly following certain guidelines. The intention is therefore to encourage the full presence of our body, mind and spirit in the present moment, so that we may intensely enjoy the act of “eating” and thus feel the food.
This lifestyle can help us manage certain behaviors and eating disorders, allowing us to reprogram our patterns, control stress, manage our emotions and prevent illnesses (such as obesity, diabetes and anxiety).

I am very mindful on my eating but my hubby is the culprit at home.haha!
That is one form of contemplation, and maybe, it might be called contemplative eating too. LOL
I love vegetables and fruits and of course chocolate in moderation.
Eating healthy is a must for a long life.
I do know one thing and that is while eating we are supposed to have pleasant conversations and not arguments and such – perhaps it means the same?
Basically you are saying that you care about what you are putting in your body and if it is healthy, is that correct?
Now it seems like many people are talking about mindfulness, intention or consciousness. I read about mindful parenting at first, then lately about mindful eating too, and living as well. I think it’s good to practice mindfulness, and apply it in our daily life, whether we eat, talk or walk, of course when we are with our kids as well. 🙂
Never heard of this before
