In the recent meeting with the homeowners in our village, safety and security was the main topic of discussion. Having a high fence is the traditional way of protection for the home and I felt lucky that our fence is not really high but it has iron grills to deter intruders. Leaving a night light in the front yard and backyard would also serve as additional deterrent for burglars.
